Residenza La Torre is located on the banks of the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore in Arolo di Leggiuno, not far from the most important sites of cultural and tourist interest.
It offers two large holiday houses for rent, the Casetta nel Bosco and the Casetta del Pittore plus a third apartment available in B&B style.
The story behind the Residenza La Torre...
The house gets its name from the stone tower that adjoins the main building and dominates the garden.Unfortunately, the tower is presently enclosed and uninhabitable.The story of Residenza La Torre is connected with Enrico Marini born in Milan in 1916 and grew up on Lake Maggiore between Leggiuno and Induno, where his grandfather lived.
Enrico attended the master's degree and then moved on to the Brera Academy, where he graduated in 1940.After the traumatic experience of the front during the Second World War, he obtained his degree in architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan.Subsequently, he set up an architecture studio and began designing villas, warehouses, industrial buildings, schools, municipal buildings and condominiums. He works as an architect, uninterrupted, until 1966 when he begins the "Villa with the Tower" on the hill of Arolo, maintaining the rustic style of the place and using the materials present (stones, bricks, wood).
Marini creates and puts in his house painterly cycles, terracottas and sculptures still visible.Here he retired until he was 95 and now rests in the cemetery of Arolo, in the chapel he decorated with terracotta panels that recall the events of Santa Caterina del Sasso. After his death, the family decided to transform the residence into an accommodation facility, open to the public since 2015, and managed by Emanuela.
Residenza La Torre: about the apartments
The Residenza La Torre offers 2 very large vacation houses for rent, one apartment available on a bed & breakfast basis and on request also a fourth apartment with panoramic terrace and internal fireplace. All apartments and holiday houses are adjacent: the access point is unique, but each unit has its own separate entrance.
The two holiday houses are called La Casa del Pittore and La Casa nel Bosco: they are both about 90 m², spread over two internal floors and can accommodate up to 6 people.
The Casa del Pittore offers a double bedroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed and a living room with a double sofa bed. In the house there are two bathrooms, one with a bath/shower, a full kitchen, a dining room, a fireplace and a storage room.
The Casa nel Bosco offers a double bedroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed and one with two single beds which, if joined together, can become a double bed.
The house is complemented by a bathroom with bathtub/shower and a kitchen with dining table, next to the living area. The kitchens of the two holiday homes are furnished with everything you need: in addition to utensils and crockery, there is a coffee maker, an oven, a fridge with freezer and a microwave but there is no dishwasher. In the lounge you will find armchairs, couches and a TV.
The holiday homes are not covered by wifi connection; Sheets and blankets are provided, while towels are available on request at an additional cost.
In holiday homes guests are independent in the management of all meals, but breakfast can always be ordered upon request and at an extra charge. The apartment available in bed and breakfast mode is located at the bottom floor of the residence. It offers a bedroom with a double bed, a private bathroom with complimentary courtesy kit (shampoo and shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush, slippers and a set of towels), a lounge and a patio overlooking the garden where Emanuela usually serves breakfast to guests included in the cost of the room.
The B&B apartment offers free WiFi and a fridge in the room.

The Residenza la Torre is mainly open in the spring / summer period, as this is the main tourist season for Lake Maggiore, both for the rental of holiday homes and for the B&B apartment.
The location is highly suited for hosting private events and birthday parties.The whole structure can be booked and reserved even during the winter season on demand.The great availability of beds in the different apartments present makes Residenza La Torre perfect for such events, thanks also to the large common rooms available.The zone of the villa planned for the B & B is usually reserved for parties.If so, arrangements should be made directly with Emanuela.
The villa is surrounded by a large garden in which pets are welcome at all times.From the patio and terrace you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore, so there are plenty of tables, benches and chairs.
Outdoors, you will also find a barbecue under the porch.A large exterior parking is at your disposal on site.
