B&B La Rosa del Lago
La Rosa del Lago is a nice Bed and Breakfast located in Arolo, a small fraction of Leggiuno, just a short walk from Lake Maggiore.
The owner, Elisa, is a young woman who was able to grasp the tourist potential of the land where she lives, transforming her home into this magnificent accommodation facility. Here tourists and visitors from all over the world are welcome. At the "La Rosa del Lago" come foreigners of different lands, not just Italians and Europeans!
The story behind B&B La Rosa del Lago...
Elisa was born and grew up next to Lake Maggiore. She knows that this land is filled with wonders, starting with its coast and beaches, which are very popular and crowded in summer. Therefore, in 2006, when she moved to Arolo, she decided to reserve part of her house to welcome tourists visiting Lake Maggiore.
She wanted to dare and try something new and today she is proud and happy with what she was able to create. In the following years, she started working on the construction of the rooms and, in 2016, she opened her bed-and-breakfast to the public.
The story that led to the choice of the name of the B&B is curious: Elisa was looking for a name that recalled the position close to Lake Maggiore, but at the same time that allowed to easily recognize the structure. The villa has bright pink walls: a sort of rose that definitely does not go unnoticed.
The color of the outside walls suggested the name B&B La Rosa del Lago.Nothing that had to do with the wind rose, nor with the characteristic flower of the month of May, of which Elisa she is crazy, but a simple reference to the pink color of the villa.
B&B La Rosa del Lago: about the rooms...
The B & B La Rosa del Lago has 3 bedrooms located on the ground floor of the house, all opening onto one hallway. Elisa lives on the first floor of the villa and the two entrances are separate.
The rooms are a constant reminder of the territory of Lake Maggiore, both in color and in name:
- The Prato bedroom, with green furniture and towels
- The Lago bedroom, with clear blue elements
- The Bosco bedroom, dominated by the colors of wood bark
The Lago bedroom is family-friendly, with a double bed and two bunk beds. The two others are double rooms. The Bosco bedroom, being a bit more slender, also has a bed as a third bed.
All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioning and free WIFI.
The proposed package is the classic bed and breakfast, for which in addition to the night breakfast is offered.
Each morning Elisa takes care to prepare breakfast for her guests, providing a refrigerator, a coffee maker, an electric oven and a toaster in the small kitchenette outside the rooms.
About B&B La Rosa del Lago facilities
Among the services provided to guests, Elisa's pride, there is free indoor parking and a beautiful outdoor pool.The pool is enchanting during the day, but even more fascinating in the evening illuminated by spotlights, it’s set in the garden of the villa, full of plants, flowers and a small rose garden just past the front door: after all, roses are Elisa's favorite flower.
The pool is accessible to all, children and adults. There is a circular area for hydromassage, a lower part for children and a high part that reaches up to 2.6 meters, an absolutely necessary height given the presence of a diving board.
On summer days, even Elisa enjoys relaxing in the sunshine. She lies on the sunbeds around the pool while her daughters play in the pool: your children will have the company they need for outdoor games!
But the real owners of the garden remain two dogs and a big red cat which rarely shows itself. Dogs are definitely very friendly and maybe they just ask for some cuddles and caresses, nothing more.
Even though Elisa loves animals, don't forget that your pets are NOT allowed in the B&B La Rosa del Lago.
The strategic location of B&B La Rosa del Lago
The B&B La Rosa del Lago is located in a tactical position, along the provincial road SP69 which runs along the entire Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore from Angera to Luino.
The bad end breakfast is located a few steps from the shores of Lake Maggiore: the beach in the meadow of Arolo is 800 meters away (less than 10 minutes on foot) while the Hermitage of Santa Caterina is 2 km away.
A place of relaxation, surrounded by greenery, within walking distance of the lake: the ideal stay for families with children looking for a place to spend their summer holidays.
For tourists who want to take a bike ride, Elisa leaves all the information and contacts of a bicycle shop in a nearby town where they rent city bikes and mountain bikes in the kitchen's bulletin board where breakfast is served.
